 Eisai Food & Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in April 2004 by splitting off Eisai Co., Ltd’s Food additives & Chemicals Division.
 While our history as a company is still short, we have nearly 50 years experience in this business. As a division of Eisai, we entered the bulk pharmaceutical substances market in 1961, advancing into the food additives market in 1971. In 1990, we further expanded the business to include nutritional ingredients for food with nutrient function claims. With vitamin E and lysozyme as core products, we were able to establish a good reputation for ourselves among customers.
 Business has developed steadily. In the case of vitamin E, we are now supplying both natural and synthetic products. Eisai Food & Chemical has also succeeded in enhancing the trust of its customers through the development of various formulations and accumulation of abundant scientific information.
 With “pharmaceutical & cosmetic,” “food ingredient and additive” and “dietary supplement” as our primary businesses, we will continue to focus on product development and provision that emphasizes quality, evidence and information. We will strive to further enhance the high opinion we have earned and become a company that provides total satisfaction and has the even greater trust of customers.
